What do the iconic Lions in front of NYC Library, the Maine Monument at Columbus Circle, and Abraham Lincoln in the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. have in common?  They were all carved in the Bronx, in a studio at 142nd Street by an Italian family of stone carvers and sculptors, the Piccirilli brothers. Learn about the history of this family of Italian immigrants and their contributions to their new country. Light reception will precede the lecture at 6:30pm. Lecture will begin promptly at 7:00pm. Must register in advance and prepay. Members $20 – Non-Members $25.
