Adult Cooking Class - Fritelle di Melazane: The Arabic IInfluence on Sicilian Cuisine

This class will focus on a unique version of a Sicilian specialty, Fritelle di Melanzane or eggplant fritters. This recipe calls for an accompanying dipping sauce made with yogurt, an ingredient not typically associated with Italian cooking, but is a staple produced for centuries throughout south, central, and western Asia as well as North Africa- the home of medieval Sicily’s Arab rulers. Enjoy alongwith a glass of wine.
